My philosophy of art
I hold the belief that art cannot simply sell itself; it is intricately woven into the life of the artist. I take pride in creating art that captivates the viewer's eye. For me, pushing boundaries and challenging myself is synonymous with taking risks and fostering growth. My late mentor, Omiros Hriso, a distinguished artist based in Paris, was someone I had the privilege to learn from and collaborate with. He specialized in the powerful realm of abstract expressionism, and I found great joy in working alongside him as he employed dynamic brushstrokes and embraced spontaneity. My own work reflects his artistic vision.
The Enigma of Art.
The mystery of art is truly remarkable. I never know what I’m going to paint until I begin. It’s always spontaneous, never forced. The artist reflects on her childhood, saying, “As a child, my only passion was drawing what I envisioned in my mind’s eye. It was both my escape and my source of joy.” Thanks to my parents’ financial support, I had the privilege of attending art school, for which I am forever grateful. Over the years, I welcomed my one and only son, Marcos, who means everything to me. I was fortunate enough to provide him with the best private education that New York City has to offer. Additionally, my son’s favorite sport is golf, and I’ve had the opportunity to paint renowned golf clubs around the globe. My unconventional abstract style has allowed me to capture the essence of famous golf courses in my work.
This journey...
has inspired me to create truly magical pieces. In moments of doubt while I’m in the studio, I close my eyes and express my gratitude, saying, “Thank you, God, for the gift of artistic expression that you’ve bestowed upon me.”
Marcos is my unwavering supporter, always taking my passion seriously and believing in my potential to realize my childhood dream.
GabeMars embodies a brilliant fusion of collaborative art and imagination. I want to honor my son and my parents for their steadfast love, encouragement, and support throughout this journey.
My motto remains:
This philosophy drives me to put in the effort and dedication required to achieve my goals, reminding me that the journey itself is just as rewarding as the destination. Embracing hard work not only leads to success but also allows me to find joy in the process, making every moment meaningful.
I found inspiration in the beauty of the world around me, like the water, the forests , the sky and all the beauty God created for us.
